Mulberry Masonic Lodge #618 F&AM
The Chaplain of the Indiana Masonic Home, Brother Charles Stanley, is asking all of the lodges to adopt one of the home residents. The purpose is to let the residents benefit from the loving care of a Lodge of Masons.
Examples of ways to care for an adopted resident include:
o read their name at each stated meeting
o display their picture in the Lodge hall
o assign someone to call them at least once a month
o send a card on their birthday or any day "just because"
o sending them a copy of the Lodge news letter
o taking pictures of special events and sending them to the resident
o sending care packages of goodies, toiletries, edibles or other tokens of friendship
o visit them when you are near the Home
o list them in the news letter and asking members to pray for them
o adjourn stated meetings in their honor
There are many other ways, to be sure. This is a list of examples. Can you come up with other ways?
If we, Mulberry Lodge #618, are interested in adopting a Masonic Home resident, all we need to do is email the chaplain.
